Hello,

My name is Leyao Xia, a UK-based Chinese graphic designer with a good command of 3D techniques. I graduated in MFA Graphic Design and Art Direction from Manchester School of Art. During my MFA study, I specialized in creating 3D illustrations and animations with Cinema 4D.

In the last two years, I also worked as a freelance graphic designer and always applied 3D skills to projects. Recently, I conducted two branding projects for the Textile & Place Conference and Crafts Council. And my previous clients included Tate Liverpool.

I am also an ambitious designer and always stimulated by curiosity. So, unwilling to limit my career, I am open to opportunities worldwide and glad to design for packages, editorials, books, films, advertising, and so on.

So, besides graphic design, I have developed various skills like 3D modeling, illustrating, video editing, and motion designing. And I am here to bring a new vision and vitality to your project.

Clients’ Feedback:

Denise Wright, the artist educator at Tate Liverpool:

“We would definitely work with Leyao again. We were really impressed with how she interpreted it so quickly and clearly without any face-to-face contact with 'the client', and that was a real skill to do this. And she was obviously really good at being sympathetic to what we wanted.”

Alice Kettle, the leader of Textile & Place Conference:

It is a fantastic collaboration. We were impressed with the logo showing the movement in terms of the graphic, because the conference is all about linking the past to the future. And this is an international conference and cannot be situated in one local style. So we like the fact that Leyao's work gets a universal sense and looks contemporary.”
